Penn Electric Racing FSAE Team, Mechanical Team Member | Philadelphia, PA | September 2021 - Present
UPenn’s Formula Electric Society of Automotive Engineers team, designing/building world class electric racing vehicles

- Leading design of uprights for new vehicle; reduced weight by 20% via an infill-like design optimized for 3D-printed aluminum
- Machined multiple powertrain components and designed numerous jigs for tab constraint
- Led design and manufacturing of cooling and secondary for backup accumulator, ultimately improving cooling effectivity 10x

Upper Stage Structural Mechanical Engineering Intern, Astra  |  Alameda, CA  |  June - August 2022
Developing launch vehicles for small satellite transportation; fastest company to reach orbit in history

- Designed manufacturing system for structural struts on Upper Stage, which would eliminate the need for high-cost, custom outsourced struts for each launch
- Supported analysis of the Launch Vehicle 10 flight anomaly, investigating potential root causes across the Upper Stage
Designed aluminum bellows to allow for tank expansion, eliminating large sliding cryogenic seal; utilized hand calculations and FEA to tune parameters to meet weight and packaging requirements and performed structural testing to validate design

UCSD COVID-19 Border Solutions Alliance Data Challenge - Team Lead : Awarded 3rd Place - International Competition
Remote Challenge | July 2020 - September 2020
International competition conducting risk assessment of public activities in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic

- Led team of 6 students conducting mass data analysis to compile information about COVID-19 spread rates for over 50 major U.S. cities and COVID restriction policies of nearly 500 restaurants
- Leveraged aforementioned data analysis to create RRISK, a data-driven web tool that allows users to find safe restaurants by evaluating multiple risk factors through an interactive map platform that gives a weighted ranking of a given restaurant’s safety
NASA SEES Program, Engineering Intern | Remote | May 2020 - August 2020
Internationally competitive STEM internship program, centered around data analysis, engineering design, and problem-solving

- Appointed Co-Chair of COVID-19 Health & Safety Team by peers and program leaders to lead team of 8 students overseeing all design processes and distributing tasks based on peers’ strengths
- Designed a detailed CAD assembly of a ventilation filtration system and air quality monitoring device, which was estimated to be 99.9999% efficient against all potential contaminants and more effective than the leading filters currently available
- Researched indoor air quality and Sick Building Syndrome, compiling information from 10+ early published studies on COVID-19
Stanford University DNA Breakpoint Mapping Laboratory, Research and Laboratory Intern |  Palo Alto, CA | May 2019 - August 2019
Lab research specializes in analyzing double-stranded DNA breaks by leveraging next-gen sequencing and bioinformatics

- As the lab’s first ever high school intern, designed and led independent project to enable CRISPR/Cas9 to be used during cell cycle phases by creating new DNA plasmid
- Findings are culminating in a published paper by the laboratory, to come within the next year

Academic Independent Study
Advancements in Modern Prosthetics: An Independent Study, Lick-Wilmerding High School | August 2020 - December 2020
Designed independent study focused on developing an accessible and reliable prosthetic

- Through in-depth research and conversations with field leaders, identified largest issues in prosthetics market
- Using Rhino, designed an intricate CAD model of 3D-printed titanium alloy prosthetic leg with three axes of rotation to mimic full human range of motion and three easily-detachable multipurpose feet
